GOLD Plated
and GOLD Vermeil
We use both gold plated and gold vermeil in our designs. The materials will always be listed on the product page. Gold plating is a layer of solid gold plated over another base metal. We use 14k or 18k gold plating over brass or sterling silver in most of our designs.
Gold vermeil is a thick layer (at least 2.5 microns) of solid gold that is plated over sterling silver. When combining these two precious metals, you get the look and feel of solid at a more affordable price point. Our vermeil pieces are plated with 14k gold (2.5 microns), with a layer of electro-coating to help protect against tarnishing and daily wear.

14K Solid Gold
We use 14K solid gold for our fine jewelry designs. 14K solid gold is extremely durable and perfect for everyday wear.
Solid gold will never tarnish or change color over time. Fine jewelry is an investment and will last you forever.

Sterling Silver
Sterling silver is a durable metal made up of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals.
We use 100% recycled sterling silver in most of our designs.

Sterling silver, gold plated, and gold vermeil can tarnish over time due to environmental factors (exposure to air, moisture, etc.). The best way to prevent tarnishing is to store your jewelry in an airtight bag, separate from other pieces of jewelry to avoid scratching.
We recommend removing your jewelry before exposing it to water (swimming, showering, etc.), exercising, and sleeping. Please make sure your jewelry doesn’t come into contact with products like oils, lotions, hairsprays, and perfumes.
We recommend using a soft cloth to clean your jewelry. We include a soft cloth and storage pouch with every order! Please do not use polishing cloths for gold plated or vermeil pieces, as this can damage the gold plating.
